Zachariah S. is no longer a member of the group of over 350 homeless veterans in South Carolina.
Several weeks ago, he came to Transitions as part of our new, expanded Veterans Program, receiving services and support that he needed to obtain permanent housing. Thanks to the continued support of our donors, partners, and volunteers, Zachariah is now permanently housed with the assistance of the VA Housing Program!
You can learn more about his story by watching this recent news story.
Just like Zachariah, individuals in this new dorm will have a dedicated case management team and programing designed to meet the unique needs Homeless Veterans face. The initial expansion is an increase from eight to thirty-six beds, with an additional twelve beds opening October 1st.
Thanks to the efforts of our staff, board, and community partners, this dorm will provide a path for veterans to obtain permanent housing.
